Sep 07, 2015 (newstodate): While the Chinese economy may have lost some of its steam, the country's aviation industry does not seem to lack financial muscles.
During 2015 Chinese capital has been flowing into a number of Western aviation business that have now seen a spree of acquisitions.
Among the latest examples is China's Bohai Leasing's acquisition by the Irish aircraft lessor Avolon.
Bohai first wanted only a stake in Avolon but raised the stakes to take all shares after another bidder stepped in to compete with Bohai.
Earlier China's HNA Group, the owner of Chinas fourth-largest airline Hainan Airlines, agreed to buy the airport handling company Swissport International, the worlds largest ground and cargo handling company, providing services for about 224 million passengers and handling more than four million tonnes of cargo a year.
As reported by newstodate today, CEFC, China Energy Company Ltd. and Travel Service will take over 50 percent of the shares in the Czech Travel Service with subsidiaries in Slovakia, Poland and Hungary.
Earlier, the HNA Group Co Ltd also acquired all shares in the Turkish carrier ACT Airlines that has been re-branded to trade as MyCargo Airlines operating under the Grand China Logistics Group, the logistics arm of HNA.
