Sep 01, 2015 (newstodate): August month sliced off most of the cargo growth so far recorded in 2015 at Denmark's Billund Airport.
In August the airport handled a total of 5,033 tonnes of cargo which was 16 percent down, y-o-y.
As in previous months, the import volumes dipped 11.5 percent to 1,815 tonnes, but the otherwise growing export volumes were also down in August by 18.4 percent to 3,218 tonnes.
This brought volumes in January-August 2015 to 41,880 tonnes, up only 0.3 percent, y-o-y, including 14,335 tonnes of imports, down 10.1 percent, and 27,545 tonnes of export cargo that was still up 6.7 percent.
