Aug 03, 2015 (newstodate): Despite losing one battle against the victorious Danish unions forcing the carrier out from its hubs in Denmark, Ryanair still considers the market as one marked by significant growth potentials.
Ryanair has thus added one more route from Copenhagen, bringing the total to 14 from this winter schedule.
New on the map is the route between Copenhagen and Tenerife, to be served from October 26, 2015, with two weekly Boeing 737-800 flights.
While frequencies on the existing routes will remain largely unchanged, actual schedules will change as the flights will now be served by aircraft hubbing outside Denmark.
In total, Ryan will be offering 118 weekly flights to and from Copenhagen Airport in the winter schedule, securing it a position as the airport's third-largest operator after SAS and Norwegian.
So a battle was lost. But there is still a war to be won...
