Aug 17, 2015 (newstodate): As in the previous months, AirBridgeCargo, part of the Volga-Dnepr Group, was again alone in providing growth in Russia's air cargo business in June 2015.
While the other four Top-5 carriers saw their volumes down in May, ABC grew by 18.8 percent, y-o-y, to 290,911 tonnes, while #2 Aeroflot was down 1.6 percent 65,469 tonnes, #3 Transaero dipped 22.7 percent to 24,012 tonnes, #4 Volga-Dnepr fell 6.1 percent to 16,858 tonnes, and #5 Sibir S7 was down 21.5 percent to 13,856 tonnes.
In all, the five leading carriers transported 339,272 tonnes of cargo in Jule 2015, up 8.5 percent.
In June, the country's 35 cargo carriers lifted 503,605 tonnes of cargo, an increase by 9.1 percent, y-o-y.
