Aug 19, 2015 (newstodate): Norway is losing its only nonstop air connection to St Petersburg, in Russia.
Norwegian has been operating flights on the route between Oslo Gardermoen and St Petersburg Pulkovo Airport since May 3, 2006, offering three weekly rotations but is now pulling out.
Last flight on the route will be performed on October 23, 2015, the end of the current summer schedule.
The carrier also launched five weekly flights from Oslo to Moscow Domodedovo from August 16, 2008, but closed down on February 9, 2009, after only half a year's performance.
