Aug 13, 2015 (newstodate): A new carrier, Extrajet is preparing for launch of traffic between the UK and Denmark from early 2016.
Plans are to set up twice-daily traffic connecting Leeds-Bradfgord Airport with Scandinavia, with Copenhagen Airport as the first route operated with wet-leased ERJ-135s from bmi british midland.
In the plans are also flights from Leeds to Antwerp and later to other UK and European destinations.
Behind the new carrier is UK national James Thorpe as Extrajet owner and CEO, coming from a year-long business background in the UK, USA and Denmark.
