Aug 21, 2015 (newstodate): Icelandair is firming up it grab on the Canadian market.
Starting from May 2016, the carrier will introduce flights to Montreal, offering five weekly rotations on a seasonal basis during May-November.
Icelandair is already operating flights from Keflavik Airport to Halifax, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver.
In 2007, Iceland and Canada signed an Open Skies Agreement, replacing the former Memorandum of Understanding on Air Services that allowed operations to Canada by Icelandair, the flag carrier of Iceland, since 1995.
The Open Skies Agreement allows unlimited traffic for both passenger and cargo flights.
