Aug 10, 2015 (newstodate): The Lithuanian ground handling and aircraft fueling company Baltic Ground Services, BGS has announced its decision to enter the Estonian market.
Starting from October 2015, the company will launch business with its first airline customers at Estonia's Tallinn Airport.
The newly established subsidiary of BGS, Baltic Ground Services EE O�, will launch operations by offering JET A-1 into-plane fueling services for both domestic and international carriers.
The company plans to supply approximately 20,000 tons of aviation fuel annually by 2017.
Starting out with services in Lithuania, and after expanding significantly in the Polish market over the recent years, BGS will continue its development in the region by preparing for entry into the Latvian market as well.
BGS now operates in Vilnius and Palanga, in Lithuania, as well as four Polish airports at Warsaw, Krakow, Katowice, and Radom, serving carriers including Etihad Airways, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Wizz Air, and Air France and other, totaling over 2.2 million passengers and 15,000 flights per year.
The company also supplies more than 200,000 tons of aviation fuel annually.
