Aug 31, 2015 (newstodate): Russia is keeping an eye on Iran that may become a new customer for the Superjet 100 aircraft once sanctions are lifted.
The Superjet 100 aircraft would be suitable for serving the domestic flights network in Iran that is today served by outdated aircraft.
Estimates are that Iran would need some 100 new aircraft to replace its current fleet and expand air services in the country.
Iranian airlines including Kish Air, Zagros Air and Caspian Airlines are reportedly already talking to Sukhoi over future deliveries.
