Aug 05, 2015 (newstodate): The Icelandic cargo ACMI carrier Bluebird Cargo reports stable business in a demanding environment.
-We are first of all serving the integrators with narrow-body capacity and this business has remained rather stable for Bluebird Cargo, says Steinn Logi Bjornsson, Bluebird Cargo co-owner and Chairman of the Board.
-While satisfied with this business, we are of course also looking at other pockets of opportunity to balance this high level of dependence on one business segments solely.
-We have thus had one freighter on a long-term contract in Africa since June this year and this is really going well, as a proof that it pays off to keep eyes open towards the world. We will continue to look into similar opportunities as they may arise in the future in the developing world.
-We took in our sixth Boeing 737 freighter in February this year and all aircraft are placed on contracts, says Mr Bjornsson
