Aug 17, 2015 (newstodate): After several delays, the latest attempt to set up a new carrier in Greenland to provide air services between Greenland and Denmark has now stalled.
On its website, Greenland Express officially announces the decision to cancel all flights planned for 2015.
The company does not provide any information on the background for the decision but the latest of several plans for launch of services was scheduled for July 2, 2015, with Airbus A320 aircraft leased from the Portuguese carrier White Airways.
The virtual carrier says it will continue working to remove the obstacles that have hindered it from starting traffic in 2015, aiming at coming up with new information concerning future operations.
So far, Greenland Express is planning to call a press conference in the second week of September.
