Aug 20. 2015 (newstodate): Finnair has announced the opening of four new routes and other novelties for next year's summer season.
The new routes in summer from Helsinki will connect to Billund, Edinburgh, Pula and Svalbard.
Starting from April 4, 2016, the flights to Billund in Jutland, Denmark, will become an all-year service adding to Finnair's existing five daily flights between Helsinki and Copenhagen.
Finnair will start flights to Edinburgh in the period April 18 - October 27 October 2016, and flights to Pula, in Croatia, will be performed twice weekly from June 20 to August 12, 2016.
As the first airline to offer scheduled international services to Svalbard, the Norwegian archipelago in the Arctic Ocean, Finnair will offer three weekly flights from Helsinki from June 1 to August 27, 2016.
In summer 2016, new scheduled flights will replace previously chartered flights to the Greek islands of Zakynthos, Skiathos, Santorini, Mytilene and Preveza.
The same will apply to Rimini and Verona in Italy and to Varna in Bulgaria.
Finnair will also increase the number of flights to summer destinations such as Malta, Tel Aviv in Israel and to Biarritz and Nice in France..
