Aug 07, 2015 (newstodate): As announced by the Swedish civil aviation regulator, Transportstyrelsen, the Danish Transport Authority has also revoked rights for Iraqi Airways to use Danish airports.
With these announcements, the Iraqi carrier will not be able to land at the countries' airports, neither for loading and unloading of passengers, nor for fueling.
On July 16, 2015, EASA denied to issue a Third Country Operator Authorization to Iraqi Airways, which is required for airlines to operate within EU airspace.
Until now, Iraqi Airways has been operating flights between Stockholm Arlanda and Baghdad, Najaf and Erbil in Iraq as well as flights between Copenhagen Airport and Baghdad and Erbil.
