Aug 06, 2015 (newstodate): Responding to a seasonal peak in Finland's charter business, Primera Nordic is to add Airbus flights this autumn.
The carrier has signed a short-term wet-lease contract with the Lithuanian ACMI carrier Avion Express for lease of an Airbus A320 aircraft to serve a number of Finnish airports with charter flights to Mediterranean leisure destinations.
Primera Nordic is otherwise a staunch Boeing operator, with a fleet currently comprising two Boeing 737-700 and six Boeing 737-800 aircraft, with four aircraft based in Denmark, two in Sweden, one on Iceland, and one based in France on a contract with French tour operators.
Owned by Icelandic investors, Primera Air moved to Denmark in 2009 placing its aircraft on Danish registration.
