Airbus has published an updated 20-years forecast for the aviation industry in Russia and the CIS, foreseeing a need for 1,280 new aircraft including 1,l100 narrow-body aircraft, 160 widebody aircraft and 24 ultra-large aircraft like the A380.
Airbus delivered the first A310 aircraft to Aeroflot in 1992, and today 28 airlines in Russia and CIS operate over 340 Airbus aircraft.
