Jul 03, 2015 (newstodate): June proved the first month in 2015 to generate positive growth in cargo volumes through Estonia's Tallinn Airport.
The airport handled a total of 1,468 tonnes of cargo which was an increase by 9.5 percent, y-o-y.
The positive growth was primarily driven by an 12 percent increase in cargo imports to 1,134 tonnes, while exports were also up by 6.5 percent to 203 tonnes.
During H1, 2015, the airport's cargo volumes were however down 22.1 percent, y-o-y, to 6,860 tonnes, primarily due to a decline by 29.9 percent in cargo imports.
41 percent of the total H1 2015 cargo was transported on integrator flights, 47 percent on ad-hoc cargo charters and 11 percent on scheduled passenger flights.
