Jul 02, 2015 (newstodate): While struggling with the Danish unions going against its plans for a base at Copenhagen Airport, Ryanair has announced plans for opening a new base at Sweden's Gothenburg Airport, its 74th in Europe, the 5th in Scandinavia and the second in Sweden, after Stockholm Skavsta.
Plans are to allocate one Boeing 737-800 aircraft to the base at Gothenburg Airport, manned with 10 cockpit and 20 cabin crew members to serve a total of 13 routes in cooperation with aircraft from other bases operating into Gothenburg.
