Jul 03, 2015 (newstodate): Moscow's coming fourth international hub - Ramenskoye Zhukovsky Airport is readying for launch of services from Q1, 2016.
The airport is now in the final stages of completing the first stage of the development plan during which the existing facilities will be supplemented with a new 7,000 sq m passenger terminal capable of serving up to 1.8 million of passengers per year as well as other pertinent infrastructure.
With the capacity to serve 12 million of passengers per year, Ramenskoye International Airport will be specifically tailored to meet the growing demand for low-cost air travels in Russia.
Participating in the project is Lithuania's Avia Solutions Group in a cooperation with Russia's state-owned Rostec Group.
The two companies have established a JV for the development and management of the existing Ramenskoye as the fourth Moscow airport hub.
Avia Solutions Group will invest over USD 30 million into the company's share capital and control up to 75 percent of the newly established company stocks.
The Russian partner will contribute to the project by bringing in the land and real estate currently under its ownership in the territory of Ramenskoye aerodrome.
