Jul 29, 2015 (newstodate): Sweden's IATA export airfreight market saw early signs of recovery in June 2015, with volumes roughly on a par with last year.
A total of 8,092 tonnes of IATA cargo left on Swedish AWBs, only 0.54 percent down on June 2014.
Four forwarding companies on the IATA Top-10 list were down on volumes, however, including #1 DHL Global Forwarding down 14.65 percent to 1,648 tonnes, #2 Geodis down 7.27 percent to 1,541 tonnes, #6 UPS down 32.10 percent to 405 tonnes, and #8 Agility down 30.83 percent to 221 tonnes.
The greatest leap upward was taken by new-comer to the list from May 2015, #9 ITS Independent Transport & Shipping that grew volumes by 579.61 percent to 204 tonnes, while #5 Panalpina was also up by 92.05 percent to 582 tonnes.
Less frequently making it to a position on the Top-10 list, Greencarrier also secured a seat as #10 with an increase by 0.47 percent to 175 tonnes.
