Jul 30, 2015 (newstodate): The Swedish IATA export airfreight market shrank by 4.17 percent, y-o-y, during July 2014-June 2015, which however shows signs of some relief after a prolonged period of significant decline.
A total of 99,650 tonnes of export cargo was thus carried from Sweden, with SAS ranking #1 on the Top-10 list of carriers with 15,758 tonnes of cargo, down 0.87 tonnes.
#2 KLM saw volumes down 14,54 percent during the period, to 10,975 tonnes, followed by #3 Lufthansa Cargo with 10,049 tonnes, also down 12.68 percent.
#4 Emirates lost 4.06 percent to 7,964 tonnes, and #5 Finnair was also down 10.15 percent to 7,064 tonnes.
Another Top-10 IATA airline that lost volumes was #9 Singapore Airlines, down 13.40 percent to 4,013 tonnes.
On the positive side were #6 Qatar with 5,613 tonnes, up 25.68 percent, #7 Thai Cargo with 5,306 tonnes and up 5.40 percent, BA with 4,869 tonnes, up 8.76 percent, and finally #Korean Air that increased by 19.97 percent to 4,011 tonnes.
