Jul 30, 2015 (newstodate: Finland's Helsinki Airport noted a significant decrease in cargo volumes through the first six months of 2015.
A total of 76,181 tonnes of cargo and mail was handled, a decline by 18 percent, y-o-y.
The drop was generated by a decline by 18.8 percent in international cargo volumes, to 70,595 tonnes, while international mail remained almost unchanged at 4,731 tonnes.
Cargo on domestic flights dropped to 168 tonnes, down 70.7 percent to only 168 tonnes, and domestic mail by air was down 7.7 percent to 686 tonnes.
Serving the country's capital, Helsinki Airport accounts for 96 percent of all air cargo and mail volumes.
