Jul 01, 2015 (newstodate): July 2, 2015, was set as the launch date of Greenland's start-up carrier, Greenland Express.
This is not to be.
-Only yesterday, June 30, we received the final approval from the DAnish regulator, Danish Transport Authority, for our flight program during the current summer schedule, and we will then have to file our plans for winter 2015/16 as other airlines, says Gert Brask, Greenland Express.
According to information recently provided by Mr Brask, flights will be operated by BH Air under a wet-lease of Airbus A320 aircraft.
The carrier is now working on setting up the flights, with a fresh launch date yet to be announced. So far the carrier has suspended operations till July 15, 2015, according to its facebook site.
Two weekly rotations from Billund Airport will connect to Kangerlussuaq, and two other flights will connect to Narsarsuaq, in both cases one flight will be directly from Billund, and the other from Billund via Copenhagen.
