Jul 27, 2015 (newstodate): Chinese capital may be in the process of taking control of the handling company Swissport.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the Chinese HNA Group is in talks with Swissport's French owner, the investment company PAI Partners SAS to take over the majority stake in Swissport.
The French company took over Swissport in 2010 when the company was sold by its previous owner, Ferrovial.
Swissport International provides ground services for around 229 million passengers and 4.1 million tonnes of cargo a year on behalf of some 700 client-companies in the aviation sector.
With its workforce of around 60,000 personnel, Swissport is active at more than 269 airports in 48 countries on five continents.
