Jun 05, 2015 (newstodate): The Swedish forwarding and transport company Greencarrier Freight Services has appointed Mikael Forsberg as its first head of global sales.
The appointment to the new office is a key part of the company's decision to develop a stronger international profile.
Since April 2012 serving as Damco Nordic CCO, Mr Forsberg as new Greencarrier CCO will be responsible for the execution and development of the ambitious global sales strategy.
Greencarrier Freight Services has also named Jarmo Halonen as Group Director Road Freight.
Prior to his new assignment, Mr Halonen has served since 2012 as Managing Director of Freight Services in Finland and is now to roll out an ambitious plan to secure a role for Greencarrier as a serious road freight operator in Europe over the next three years.
Greencarrier Freight Services, one of the Nordic regions largest privately owned companies specializing in global transport solutions, has been growing steadily over the last few years, now employing 800 staff operating in 14 countries.
