Jun 03, 2015 (newstodate): Georgia's Tbilisi Airport is to see new traffic in 2015.
An agreement has been reached between Georgia and Iran, allowing for start of services between Tehran and Tbilisi by two Iranian carriers, Mahan Air and ATA Airlines from this month already, while no exact launch date or details on frequencies have been announced yet.
The resumption of air traffic between the two countries comes after Georgia has again eased its visa requirements for Iranian citizens .
Already on June 2, 2015, another carrier made a first call to Tbilisi Airport: Kazakhstan's Air Astana that is now online on the route from Almaty with two weekly rotations using Embraer E-190 aircraft
