Jun 01, 2015 (newstodate): In the first four months of this year, only four of 10 top-ranking IATA carriers managed positive growth in the slowing Swedish export cargo market.
Positive growth in volumes was experienced by #6, Thai Cargo that saw volumes up by 12.31 percent, y-o-y, to 5,480 tonnes, #7 Qatar Airways, up 20.57 percent to 5,224 tonnes, #8, British Airways up 12.18 percent to 4,869 tonnes and #10, Korean Air Lines that was up 15.51 percent to 3,970 tonnes.
SAS Cargo topped the list with 15,868 tonnes but slightly down by 0.11 percent, while #2 KLM Cargo was down 17.4 percent to 10,881 tonnes, #3 Lufthansa Cargo down 19.84 percent to 9,6552 tonnes and #4 Emirates that dropped 5.48 percent to 7,994 tonnes.
#5 Finnair Cargo was also down 11.66 percent to 7,092 tonnes during January-April, 2015.
Overall, the Swedish IATA export airfreight market down by 5.52 percent to 99,177 tonnes.
