Jun 16, 2015 (newstodate): Lufthansa Cargo is gaining an edge with new combinations of Dangerous Goods shipments and certain time definite-products.
-We have just completed a series of introductions among agents in Denmark to introduce new options concerning out care.td, or dangerous goods shipments, says Michael Schoop, Lufthansa Cargo Country Manager Denmark.
-Now in the service portfolio is the possibility of combining care.td with cool.td, which means that dangerous goods can be transported in cool containers. This has already been selected by for instance manufacturers of pharmaceutical products like medicine on spray dispensers with propellant gasses.
-Another novelty is the option of combining care.td with our product safe.td, which has been used for shipments of printing ink for production of paper money,as ink is considered dangerous goods by IATA. And last but not least, we also combine Care.td with our premium product td.Flash, securing our capacity guarantee and fast handling at most of our 300 destinations in 100 countries around the world.
-To my knowledge, this is new in the air cargo business, and we are now actively marketing these offerings in a campaign to draw attention to the wide range of opportunities through these creative combinations, says Mr Schoop.
