Jun 19, 2015 (newstodate): Korean Air Cargo is an important player in the Scandinavian airfreight market.
During the summer schedule, the carrier operates three weekly freighter rotations at Oslo as well as three weekly rotations at Stockholm, although the frequency here has been temporarily reduced to two flights.
The carrier has however suspended its normally three weekly freighter flights at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport during the current summer schedule.
According to a Korean Air Cargo spokesperson at Copenhagen Airport, hopes are that the carrier will reinstate its freighter service again from the next winter schedule, but so far declining volumes of Asian imports into the Danish market have led to the suspension of services.
Korean Air Lines Cargo made its first entry at Stockholm Arlanda from August 24, 2006, with two weekly rotations from Seoul Inchon Airport by cutting two of five rotations until then at Denmark's Copenhagen Airport, its first destination in Scandinavia, and has been online at Oslo since summer 2004.
All freighter flights by Korean Air Cargo are performed with Boeing 747-400F aircraft.
