Jun 25, 2015 (newstodate): Icelandair is adding two Boeing 767 aircraft by spring 2016 - and the first routes to be served have now been set up.
The airline will introduce the Boeing 767-300 aircraft on the route between Iceland and London Heathrow from April 15, 2016, with two daily rotations.
Starting from April 1, 2016, the carrier will also operate the Boeing 767 on the route between Iceland and New York JFK, with one daily rotation.
In 2015, Icelandair will operate 23 Boeing 757-200 aircraft that take 183 passengers and one 757-300 that takes 220 passengers.
22 of these aircraft are owned by the Icelandair Group, while two are leased and due for re-delivery by this autumn and replaced by the two Boeing 767-300 aircraft that take 260 passengers.
