Jun 26, 2015 (newstodate): Greencarrier Freight Services is opening a new branch office in Denmark from August 1, 2015.
Located at Kolding, in the southern part of Jutland and close to the highways connecting Denmark of Germany, the new office will focus on the development of traffics between Denmark and continental Europe.
-So far Greencarrier in Denmark has had its focus on the country's overseas transport by sea and air. But there is actually much traffic connecting via Denmark to and from Norway, Sweden, and Finland, and with the new setup at Kolding we will provide enhanced facilities for transferring shipments between continental and Scandinavian trucks, says Jan Carstens, Greencarrier Denmark Managing Director.
-Greencarrier will not establish an own terminal, but work instead in a partnership with the Danish haulier and logistics provider Danske Fragtmnd, says Mr Carstens.
From the start the new office will be manned with three staff and managed by Bruno Poulsen, coming from a similar position at Itella Logistics.
Greencarrier Freight Services, with HQs in Sweden, opened its first office in Denmark in 2013 and will have 25 employees when the new office at Kolding has been activated.
