Jun 03, 2015 (newstodate): A Chinese carrier is reportedly waiting for green lights to start flights on a new route to Denmark's Copenhagen Airport.
According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Beijing Capital Airlines, a subsidiary of Hainan Airlines, is waiting for governmental approval to launch two weekly flights from Hangzhou and Beijing to Copenhagen from early September 2015 already.
Pending government approval, the Beijing-based carrier will start operating the Hangzhou-Copenhagen and Beijing-Copenhagen service from September 3 and September 6, respectively, using Airbus A330 aircraft.
The fleet of the carrier does not currently include long-haul aircraft such as Airbus A330, but 23 Airbus A319 and 30 Airbus A320 aircraft leased from the mother company Hainan Airlines that operates 17 Airbus A330-200 and -300 aircraft.
