May 20, 2015 (newstodate): The UK/Swedish freighter carrier West Atlantic has landed a fresh ACMI order from DHL Aviation for Boeing 737-400F capacity.
The contract comprises four Boeing 747-400F, and West Atlantic is now sourcing three aircraft to fulfill the contract within six months.
Two of the awarded operations are upgrades to existing routes already operated by West Atlantic with BAe ATP aircraft that will now be deployed elsewhere in commercial operations.
In the carrier's fleet are six Boeing 737-300F, one Boeing 737-400F, one Boeing 767-200F, three Bombardier CRJ200LR in freighter version, as well as 41 BAe ATP aircraft.
