May 15, 2015 (newstodate): The British UK low-cost carrier easyJet has been in the forefront for setting up low-cost flights to Russia - but the enthusiasm has dampened during the current cooling-down in the market for flights between the UK and Russia.
The carrier is thus announcing its decision to pull out from serving the route between Moscow and Manchester, with the last flight on October 23, 2015.
Earlier, the carrier also decided to cut one of two daily flights between London and Moscow from January 27, 2015, on three out of seven days, retaining two daily operations on and around weekends.
But from the start of the summer schedule from March 29, 2015, the carrier will cut further to be offering only one daily flight during the week.
easyJet finally launched flights on March 18, 2013, on its newly-won and much coveted route between London and Moscow after having seized the opportunity when BMI exited the route as a consequence of BA's acquisition of BMI from Lufthansa.
