May 27, 2015 (newstodate): Turkish Airlines Cargo is again expanding its reach by opening a new freighter route into the Balkan region.
Starting from May 2015, the company has launched twice-weekly flights with Airbus A330-200F aircraft between Istanbul and Sarajevo, in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The main focus of the service is perishables exports from Bosnia-Herzegovina to Turkey besides imports into the region of US and Asian commodities via Istanbul.
Turkish Airlines Cargo is already present in the Balkan region with a weekly call at Serbia's Belgrade Airport on the route Istanbul-Madrid-Belgrade-Istanbul operated with an Airbus A330-200F freighter aircraft carrying up to 70 tonnes of cargo.
