May 4, 2015 (newstodate): The tender process for the coming years' postal flights Sweden has now entered its second phase.
April 27, 2015, was the closing date for interested parties to hand in their offers, and all bids are now being evaluated and negotiations with the individual providers have started.
The process will require about one month from now, after which the outcome will be announced.
The tender will comprise about 180 departures every week, requiring 14 aircraft to serve 12 airports and with provisions for bidders to sub-contract parts of the total network to other parties to secure the optimal match between specific airports and aircraft types.
Post Sweden originally launched the tender for postal flights in November 2014, with the process to be completed within a month - but the tender was called off due to insufficient tender documents, requiring the opening of a fresh round of tendering.
