May 13, 2015 (newstodate): Passenger volumes are soaring at almost all Polish airport in 2015.
Out of 13 Polish airports, seven have seen more passengers each subsequent month during January-April 2015, and only one airport, Zielona Gora experienced negative growth.
At the country's largest airport, Warsaw Airport, passenger figures were up 8.3 percent, y-o-y, to 3,014,200, while the biggest growth was seen at Modlin Airport, up 65.1 percent, y-o-y, to 746,529 passenger but benefiting from a low base as the airport was only recently seeing scheduled services by low-cost carriers.
Second as to growth was Szczecin Airport, one of seven airports with two-digit growth rates and up 31.6 percent to 101,192 passengers.
Krakow Airport was the country's second-largest as to passenger volumes in the period, generating 1,174,506 passengers and growing 10.6 percent, y-o-y.
