May 26, 2015 (newstodate): The demise of the Lithuanian carrier Air Lituanica is again changing the aviation scenes in the Nordic and Baltic markets.
Stepping in to fill the void left by Air Lituanica that folded its wings on May 22, 2015, Latvia's airBaltic was quick to move with setting up six new routes from Vilnius, and Estonia's Estonian Air also announced an increase in frequency on its flights between Vilnius and Tallinn from six to 11 weekly rotations from May 25, 2015.
Now the Hungarian LCC Wizz Air has announced that it will launch two new services from Vilnius to Stockholm and Billund starting from September 14, 2015, and operated with three and two weekly frequencies, respectively.
