May 29, 2015 (newstodate): After its successful launch of Transatlantic services to the USA, the Icelandic LCC WOW Air is now eying new destinations on the continent.
New plans are to launch flights from Iceland to Montreal, in Canada, from 2016 with up to four or five weekly rotations, as well as opening up new US destinations.
In the fleet now are four Airbus A320 and two Airbus A321 aircraft, but the opening of new flights will drive the fleet to a total of nine aircraft in 2016.
The two Airbus A321 aircraft were delivered in February and March 2015, respectively, in time for the launch of flights from Iceland to Boston from March 27, 2015, and to Baltimore from June 4, 2015, connecting to its European network.
