May 21, 2015 (newstodate): Finnair is again to operate a Boeing 787 aircraft on its route between Helsinki and New York.
The carrier has sourced one Boeing 787 Dreamliner from LOT Polish Airlines for the period May 23-27, 2014, based on an ACMI contract.
Finnair has part of its Airbus A330 fleet grounded for technical inspection, resulting in a temporary shortage of capacity to be relieved by the LOT aircraft.
Already in December 2013, Finnair took in a similar aircraft from Boeing for use on the same route, and the latest Dreamliner ACMI contract with LOT is Finnair's fourth.
