May 8, 2015 (newstodate): Estonia's Tallinn Airport is not seeing a positive trend for its cargo volumes in 2015.
In the first four months of this year, the airport has handled a total of 3,937 tonnes of cargo, 31.8 percent below the same period in 2014.
Especially import airfreight has gone down by 43.9 percent to only 2,430 tonnes, but on the positive side exports have risen by 6.3 percent, y-o-y, to 901 tonnes.
In April, volumes were again down 25.5 percent to 1,212 tonnes, with airfreight imports declining 34.9 percent to 815 tonnes.
