May 12, 2015 (newstodate): Emirates launched daily services between Dubai and Oslo Gardermoen in Norway only last autumn - but is now considering an increase in frequency.
A Norwegian newspaper is citing Emirates' Norwegian country manager Terje Grue for plans by the carrier to go up to two daily rotations on the route against the current one daily Boeing 777-300 flight offered since the launch of services on September 2, 2014.
According to the spokesman, the planned increase in frequency is driven not least by demands for more cargo capacity, with airfreight already contributing more than 20 percent of the total revenues on the route.
Emirates first launched flights to Scandinavia with a route between Dubai and Copenhagen from August 1, 2011, and from September 4, 2013 the Gulf carrier introduced flights on its second Scandinavian route between Dubai and Stockholm, Sweden.
