May 6, 2015 (newstodate): Emirates SkyCargo is again to increase its use of Copenhagen Airport as an en-route stop.
Starting from May 27, 2015, the company will launch services on a new route between Dubai and Columbus Rickenbacker International Airport, with a stop at Copenhagen Airport in both directions.
The new flight will be operated with Boeing 777F aircraft, with a call at Chicago on the return flight also via Copenhagen.
Emirates made Copenhagen Airport its Scandinavian freighter hub from July 1, 2014, currently operating 11 weekly freighter operations at Copenhagen.
The airport has, however, seen an increase also in Emirates SkyCargo calls on unscheduled flights bringing the total of monthly flights up to 55, according to industry sources.
