Apr 30, 2015 (newstodate): WFS has now announced the changes in the wake of its take-over from October 1, 2014, of Swissport's cargo business at Copenhagen Airport.
As a result, WFS is to close operations at its current Terminal 3 effective from May 31, 2015.
Already from the start of May, WFS will begin the process of moving customers from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1.
Air Canada and Norwegian will move already from May 4, 2015, followed by Qatar Airways by May 11, 2015, while Lufthansa Cargo will be moved to Terminal 2 also from May 11, 2015.
From May 18, 2015, WFS will move Air France/KLM Cargo to Terminal 2, while handling of Swiss Cargo will move to Terminal 1 also from May 18, 2015.
By the end of May 2015 all WFS cargo handling activities will thus be consolidated at Terminals 1 and 2.
Already from February 1, 2015, WFS closed the office at Terminal 3, consolidating all staff at Terminal 1.
In total the joint WFS/Swissport business headed by Thomas Petersen, WFS General Manager Scandinavia, now employs some 170 staff including 35 in the office.
