Apr 22, 2015 (newstodate): One Russian cargo carrier keeps the country's total volumes growing in 2015: AirBridgeCargo Airlines.
Ranked #1 in the statistics on cargo on Russian carriers, ABC grew its volumes by 22.2 percent, y-o-y, in January-March 2015, to a total of 134,780 tonnes.
ABC belongs to the Volga-Dnepr Group where #3, Volga-Dnepr also grew volumes more modestly by 3.1 percent to 8,309 tonnes, while the third carrier in the group, Atran Airlines, #8 on the list, for once saw volumes down by 13.6 percent to 2,600 tonnes.
Together, the Group's three cargo carriers thus carried 148,689 tonnes of the total of 229,451 tonnes carrier by the 35 airlines on the list, corresponding to 65 percent.
Counted together, the 35 Russian carriers saw their volumes up by 6.3 percent, y-o-y, during Q1 2015.
