Apr 30, 2015 (newstodate): A tender has been opened for bids on 51 percent of the stake in Russia's Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo Airport.
Bids are accepted as from today and until June8, 2015, after which the successful winner offering the highest price will be announced on June 19, 2015.
Under the terms of the tender, the future owner of the airport will be obliged to invest in a new passenger terminal, new runway, taxiways and apron area.
Krasnoyarsk Yemelyanovo International Airport plays a pivotal role in Russia, offering transfer and transit cargo services to operators including Lufthansa Cargo on routes between Europe and Asia.
A new, revised master-plan was designed by Hochtief Airport in 2011, seeing prospects for 3.4 mio annual passengers in 2030.
In the master-plans is the development of parallel taxiways to boost the capacity of the airport's 3,700m runway, new passenger terminals, a new apron and new aircraft parking stands.
