Apr 24, 2015 (newstodate): As part of its "anti-crisis program", the Russian carrier Rossiya has decided to suspend operations with its Boeing 767-300 aircraft.
In the fleet of Rossiya are three Boeing 767-300 long-haul aircraft used on flights to the Middle East, India, China and destinations in Russia's Far East, but they are now withdrawn from service due to low cost-efficiency in today's waning Russian market.
The carrier, merged in 2006 with former Pulkovo Airlines and now a subsidiary of Aeroflot, took delivery of its first of three Boeing 767-300 aircraft in April 2008, replacing its earlier fleet of IL-86 aircraft.
Earlier this month, Rossiya decommissioned its six AN-148 aircraft, also for considerations of low cost-efficiency, while now operating 27 Airbus A320 aircraft on its route network.
