Apr 28, 2015 (newstodate): While the world is yet to see the full extent of the devastating effects on Nepal from the earthquake on April 25, 2015, relief efforts are gaining momentum and rescue teams are streaming in by air from many countries.
Nepal is, however, barely capable of handling the congestion building up in air traffic, and the airport itself has been affected by repeated after-quakes.
A rescue team from Finland including 29 rescue workers with two sniffer dogs thus arrived in Nepalese air space on Monday, but remain stuck in neighboring India after being refused permission to land at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport.
According to media, more than 20 aircraft are now waiting on the tarmac at Delhi Airport to obtain permission to land in Nepal with their rescue teams and relief equipment.
