Apr 24, 2015 (newstodate): New name on the Finnish skies by May 2015 will be Nordic Regional Airlines.
But behind the new brand will be the existing Flybe Nordic that is now owned by Finnair after Flybe's sale of its 60 percent stake in the carrier.
At the same time, Finnair is in talks with two Finnish investors to buy these 60 shares, leaving Finnair with a minority 40 percent stake in the carrier that will continue to operate Finnair's extensive domestic and regional routes on Finnair's code with a fleet comprising 26 aircraft including 12 ATR 72-500, two E-170 and and 12 E-190 aircraft.
