Along these lines, Nordavia is to set up a new route from Moscow Domodedovo Airport to Usinsk, in the Komi Region, served with six weekly rotations using Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Usinsk, founded only in 1966 as a settlement at the newly discovered deposits of petroleum in the north of the Komi Republic, is now the center of the region's oil and gas industry.
