The carrier has decided to return to Malmo Airport after a period at Vienna Airport en-route from Iraq to Manchester, in the UK.
-The British authorities require the Iraqi carrier to arrive fully screened to Schengen standards before being accepted into the country, szys Peter Weinhandl, Malmo Airport Manager.
-This was earlier provided at Vienna, but Iraqi Airways is now back at Malmo Sturup for a full X-ray screening of all passengers and bagage which requires two to three hours of handling.
-The operation comprises flights with Boeing 737-800 aircraft from Baghdad, Erbil and Sulaymaniyah,which translates into daily operations at the airport, says Mr Weinhandl.
